My take from the Tompkins County Friends of the Library book sale. This is, I’d say, fifteen or so story collections, fifteen novels, and a dozen vinyl records. Total was $7.85.

1) My first NY state tax return. It was for $12.00.
Gonna try to make it last. That’s two Racer 5’s, depending where you go and how much you tip.
2) Five duplicate email rejections from the Indiana Review. I’m counting this as one thing because they all came at 7:03 pm, and said the exact same thing. I get the message!
It’s better this way, actually, because I didn’t want that story published anyway.

Rode along there today to pick up our inaugural (cheap, local, grass-fed) cowshare. Advice from the woman who took and presumably butchered our 235 lb order: “Don’t overcook it.”
Cornell’s titan arum bloomed last night. Saw it today, and the line was out the door. This flower stinks!
